Day By Day 110

Today we got the results of the monitor test and it was all good.  I told the kids.  We had the cleaners here and then took Jessi out to lunch at Dona’s.  Then we took her home and went to Trader Joe’s for supplies.  Then I read and Bill worked on his puzzle.  Now we are going to cook salmon for dinner and watch another Inspector Lynley movie. Tomorrow, I go to Wesley’s class and then, after lunch, Carol and I are going out with Evey for an hour or so.  Then we are going to Scott and Jessi’s house for dinner and a movie with the boys.

Day By Day 109

Today we got up at six am so I could get to my optometrist’s at 8 am.     It went fine and she said really, I hadn’t lost vision.     So, I didn’t need a new prescription, which saves me a lot of money.       Then Deb and I went out for lunch and had a great time at Soi Four.     We really had a good time talking and catching up, and then we went to the bookstore and I got two books there.     Then I went to the studio until Bill came out and needed to use it. I came in and now we are both getting ready for dinner.

Day By Day 108

Today we did our exercises and walk, then decided to eat out for lunch at Barney’s, which we did.     I had a turkey burger with fries and an ice tea and Bill had a burger and fries and a root beer, which what Ramiza used to love.     Then I watched a movie and Bill read, and now we are having dinner and then will watch another movie in the Lynley series.

Day By Day 107

Yesterday we went to the Point Richmond walk and did the whole place.     It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed our time out.     Then I made chili for dinner and we watched two ‘Inspector Lynley’ mysteries.     Today was beautiful again and we walked our path early after doing exercises and then read and had lunch. After I read and Bill sat in the hammock.     We are doing seafood for dinner and I think watching another set of Inspector Lynley mysteries.     Tomorrow, I walk with Deb, then Wednesday I see my optometrist then Friday I see Carol with Evey. I am also doing lunch on Thursday with Jessi and she is having us over for dinner one night.      A dog came to her door and she is seeing if anyone shows up for 5 days.     It wasn’t chipped.     She might take it if it isn’t claimed.

Day By Day 106

Today was awful, though we tried hard.     We went to Trader Joe’s early but then wasted and hour trying to get to Chabot Lake Reservoir, but it was closed, so we finally went back home, got the other car and drove to the Lafayette Reservoir and walked there, but we were tired and when we got home we just ate and then I watched a movie and Bill read and did his therapy.     We are cooking now, and hope to watch a movie afterwards.

Day By Day 105

I’m finally back to blogging again.     I was just so disgusted that I stopped before.     Nothing much happened, anyway.     I did see Nikolaj both Saturday for lunch at Barney’s and Sunday we went to the game and had fun.     Then Jessi and Scott had us over for dunner that night.     Now we are going to Jessi’s for dinner tonight when she tells us.     It is such a relief to be done with the monitor I can’t tell you.     I feel like a person again.     I can lift my arms, carry things and do all my exercises.

Day By Day 104

Yesterday turned out horribly, after I had a walk with Deb.     I also walked with Bill later in the day and saw a TV show in the afternoon, but after dinner, we watched another movie with Arnold Schwartnegger and that was recent but not great. By the way, the afternoon movie was from 41 years ago, written and directed by Alan Alda. It had Carol Burnett, Rita Moreno, and some others.     It was weird. So last night at 10:15, my alarm went off and we couldn’t figure it out. It turned out to be an alarm for the heart monitor and I had to leave it off all night, and it took a long time to get it on this morning.  Finally, we did.  But it really shook me.  I must do the changeover two more times before it’s turned in Tuesday.  Ugh!

Day By Day 103

Today we took an early walk and then drove to Euclid and back around Grizzly Peak.     It was warm and the view was gorgeous.     Then when we returned, Jessi called and she asked If they could bring lunch and eat at our house and let the boys hunt Easter Eggs again.     So that is what we did two times.     They brought yellow tulips and we ate outside and everyone had a nice time.     They left at 1:30 and we then read outside most of the afternoon.     We are going to have dinner and watch a movie.     We heard from all the kids and it was lovely and low key.

Day By Day 102

Yesterday we didn’t do much but our exercises and taking a walk in the rain.     Today we went with Jessi and the boys to Heather Park Farm and the boys did rides then we looked for lizards and ate lunch by the garden then walked around the garden and went home.     Tonight, we are ordering dinner.     Then a movie.     We watched a great movie last night called “The Starling”.     Melissa McCarthy was in it with Kevin Kline, and it was an amazing story of a couple who lose their child and the man can’t recover and must be institutionalized for a year.     It’s touching, charming and fun and terrible.     I hope we kind find something that good tonight.

Day By Day 101

Today we charged the battery for an hour and a half, then discovered we had to call the guy to get it restarted again.     It makes me nervous.     I was having trouble anyway because last night I tried to do my blood pressure at 6:15 and it wouldn’t work.     I don’t have to charge it again until Saturday, thank goodness. I did see Ronnie today.     We met at 10 for about an hour and I walked her little dog, Skye.     This afternoon I finished a book and then have been waiting for us to do dinner and watch a movie.     Last night we watched a Oscar nominated movie and loved it-the Sea Beast.     Maybe we’ll do another cartoon tonight.

Day By Day 100

Yesterday we got the heart monitor put on.     I must wear it for two weeks and charge it every two of three days.     We walked and exercised and did the same this morning.     We are caring for Jessi’s cats until Thursday.      Today we went over and then, after exercising, Bill did taxes and I worked on my book.     Tonight, I am going with Carol to a talk at Mrs. Dalloway’s while Bill goes by Jessi’s house.     Then tomorrow Bill will do lab tests then continue with his day while I see Ronnie in the morning.
