Day by Day

  Today I walked with Lewis and Jessi. Then, after the house cleaners left, I walked to College Avenue with Bill, and bought some Easter cards there, then we walked up to Domingo and home.     We had lunch and now I’m waiting for Dr. Munoz to call.     Then we are going to have dinner and then babysit tonight so Scott and Jessi can do to a parent meeting at Lewis’ place.     Tomorrow morning, I have my Bone Density test in the morning, then tomorrow night we go out to dinner at six pm for our anniversary.

  Today we tried to get a walk in but only did a mile, as it rained the whole time.     We did do our exercises and I watched a movie after lunch, but not a good one.     Tonight, we will watch more ‘Death in Paradise’.     Tomorrow we are going to have the talk with Dr. Munoz about my monitor and then tomorrow evening we will babysit for Scott and Jessi while they go to a parents’ meeting at Lewis’ school.

  Today I went with Sandy to lunch and then to four places to shop. We had fun, despite it being a crappy day.     We got Easter stuff at the first shop, then other stuff as well there, and then we shopped at other places, and I got a top and pants at Chicos.     We didn’t get anything elsewhere, but we had fun.     When I got home Bill and I talked about our day, and I went to the studio while Bill read, and then I called Sharon to talk for an hour.     Now I’m back inside doing my blog and then we’ll have dinner and watch more “Death in Paradise”.  

  Today I did my Zinc shampoo rinse and waited 10 minutes before my eyes washed it all off.     Then we had breakfast, did our exercises and walked early.     Then Bill read and I worked in the studio on my book.     This afternoon we are going to Jessi’s at 2:30 so Bill can watch a game.     Then we were sending out for dinner tonight at their house and then going home to watch another couple of episodes of “Death in Paradise”.

  Today we set off with Scott, Jessi and the boys to meet Riyad, Nora and Nikolaj at the Chabot Science and Space Center, but when we arrived, they were closed.     So, we changed our plan and ended up at the Lawrence Hall of Science.     We bought tickets and had a great time there.     The boys loved it.     But their café was closed, so we ended up returning to Jessi’s for late lunch, and we had a terrific time bungling around and eating food from Crepevine.     We left after 3:00 pm.     Now we are having grilled cheese and soup and bread for dinner.     Then we will watch more of “Death in Paradise”.

  Today was Deb’s birthday and I texted her then later brought a card and flowers.     In the meantime, Jessi and I went to the Oakland Museum to see the Angela Davis show, but we were both disappointed.     It wasn’t big or terribly interesting.     They should have shown more of her life, I think.     She is so fascinating, but it’s not in the show that much.     After we went to the art gallery and enjoyed that, and then had lunch and looked at the new back yard.  Then I came home and read, but I was sleepy, so I didn’t accomplish much.  We will have dinner and watch some TV.

  Today we drove up to Calistoga and had lunch with RIyad, Nikolaj and Nora, then went to Copperfield books and bought a toy and a book for Nikolaj and a book for Bill and 4 books for me.     Then we drove to the Petrified Forest and went along the main trail and then inside the bookstore. Then we followed Riyad and Nora until we hit 12 west and got on the freeway but there was some kind of accident and it took us until five to get back.     Anyway, we made it fine. Tomorrow, I go with Jessi to the Oakland Museum to see the Angela Davis show.  That should be nice.

  Today we did exercises and walked early, then we did stuff until lunch, then I watched “Legal Eagles”, an old movie that Bill doesn’t like, while he read.     Last night we watched the first Sallie Lockhart film, which Bill didn’t like that much, but we may see the second anyway tonight, as it’s supposed to be good.     Then tomorrow if Riyad doesn’t cancel, we will go up to Calistoga after we get groceries at Trader Joe’s.

  Last night I watched “Notting Hill” by myself, as Bill was watching a game.     I’d never seen it and it was quite interesting.     Today, George, Deb, Bill and I went to the Legion of Honor to see the ‘Sargent in Spain’ exhibit.     It was fraught with difficulty.     First George’s car got a warning light on the freeway, so we had to head back to Deb’s to get her car instead.     That took at least 20 minutes.     Then we got there okay, but it was raining, but we got inside and saw the show, after we first had lunch, and it was a good lunch.     The show was not big, but it was interesting.     I bought the book afterwards.     I loved some of the stuff, and he was especially sensitive about the Roma, who came from northern India.     It was great to see them and their animals and symbols of religion.     I really appreciated it.     Now we will hopefully hav...

  Yesterday we went with Jessi, Wesley and Lewis to the Oakland Museum.     They enjoyed the things we saw, but there turned out to be a 1 ½ hour line for eating, so we had the boys eat their lunches, and then we did some things like the 6 and under area on the bottom level, but then we had to go, but the three of us hadn’t eaten, so we left and went to Scott and Jessi’s house to eat stuff Scott picked up.     Then we returned home, but we were frustrated.     We had pancakes and waffles for dinner, then watched a very cute video called “the Magician’s Elephant”.     We liked it. Today Riyad and Nikolaj are supposed to come by at 12:30 or so.  We will have lunch out and go in a bookstore or two.

  Today we got started kind of late, because I took a shower, but still did our exercises and walked our normal walk.     Bill and I had a difference of opinion about what to do today.     I asked Jessi and Deb if they could go up to Santa Rosa for the afternoon but Jessi couldn’t. and Deb got back to me so late that I didn’t do it.     Deb and George said they were up for doing it another time, and maybe we can this week, as Nikolaj is out school. Riyad will get back to me tonight, and I will tell Deb and George if it's possible.     Jessi also will tell me tonight about tomorrow.     We aren’t going to Filoli because the power is off, so we are either going to the Oakland Museum or the science center.       We’ll see how it goes.     We are doing dinner now and then watching a movie.     We watched the “Nice Guys” last night but neither of us liked it.

  Today I went with Carol to Toy Go Round and got some stuff for Easter, and then we went to Safeway to get some things and bought ourselves a sandwich and water.     Then we drove to the dog park and ate there, and then walked along the water for a bit.     She then brought me back home and I did laundry and wrote.     Now Bill has ordered dinner and he’s looking for a movie to watch.

  Today the cleaners were here but later than usual.     So, I did my exercises and then at 10:30 am they came and I went to the studio.     Bill was in his study.     After they left, we went to Toutou’s for lunch.     Then we came back and went for our walk and then I went back to the studio and finished my book and Bill read in the Sunroom.     Now we are going to have dinner and watch a romantic comedy for a change. Tomorrow, I go with Carol at 10 am.     We are going to Toy Go Round and see what is up with them.

  Today we went for a walk early and then Bill read and I went to the studio.     Then we ate, and I watched a bad movie and Bill read, then he went to the studio and I read in the Sunroom.     Now I’m bogging, we are going to play Scrabble until dinner then watch 'Luther' on TV.    

  Today I went to my Women’s Group, which, as usual, was very productive.     We always have plenty to talk about. Then I walked back with Deb, and we talked a bit more.     I had lunch and then I went to the studio and Bill was watching his games on TV.     Now I am blogging, and we will try to see the Oscars on TV, if possible.     If not, we will watch the last episode of Jesse Stone.     Tomorrow, I go with Deb to Eileen Fisher, then I have an appointment with the nurse practitioner at 2:20.     Tuesday we are going to Filoli to see the daffodils and tulips.

  Today I went to Star early after breakfast to get rolled oats, scones and toothpaste, then Bill and I walked to the bank and got money out then walked back via Russell and Domingo.     Then we had lunch and then I watched a terrible old movie with a very young Sally Field, Henry Winkler and Harrison Ford.     Then I called Riyad and Nikolaj and then Carol Nyhoff.     We are ordering Pizza and a salad from Zachary’s for dinner. I have my women’s group tomorrow morning.

  Yesterday I Went over to Barbara’s after walking with Bill.     She had a molar that was not in good shape so we didn’t go out except to have lunch and bring it back to her house.     We had a lovely meal and talked.     I always have a great time with her, and we did this time as well.     After I left, she walked me to Spectator Books, where I bought 6 new books and then Bill picked me up.     We had chili for dinner and watched an episode of Jesse Stone.     It was a good one.   Today we had breakfast and then threw away a lot of very old stuff from our freezer.  Then I walked with Marianne, who is leaving with Eric for her new grandson in New Mexico Tuesday.  I’m so happy for her.  Then I read in the studio and now I’ll do lunch soon.  We will watch another movie this evening. 

  This morning was chaotic.     We went to Trader Joe’s early and got groceries, then returned home and things fell apart quickly.     Bill had trouble getting our Prius vehicle registration worked out and then I couldn’t get my UCSF chart to work and it took forever to get a date for my monitor and my lab tests for Dr. Murad.     Bill said with the times I’d had the monitor, it looks like the oblation didn’t work, and it will all have been for nothing.     I am pretty sure that’s true.     Also, I have so many appointments and monitors that my head spins.     It's hard to live my life with all this stuff going on.     I try, but it’s difficult.

  Today I walked with Deb after a long time.     She had Covid then had to babysit every day until this week, so we caught up with each other.     We hope to go to Eileen Fisher next week.     I had done my exercises and walk, so after lunch I saw a movie and Bill tried to nap for a while.     Then we played Scrabble.     Now we’re making dinner and then going. To see a movie.     I talked to Riyad briefly about his week, and we might get together this weekend.    

  Today I went to Dr. Lit’s office to check my retinas and all was well.     I was very relieved.     I spent the rest of the day walking with Bill and then having lunch and watching “Galaxy Quest”. We had fun watching, then I read in the studio for a while.     I hope we will watch a movie tonight.  

  Yesterday I didn’t. write, so I’ll first say we walked and did our exercises and then had lunch.     Afterwards we went over to Jessi and Scott’s for dinner.     Jessi and I took Lewis on a walk in his stroller, and he was very fussy, but he tolerated it.     Then we played with the kids until dinner and had a nice dinner with them.     Scott made a great soup and salad.     Then we went home and I did my blood pressure then Bill did something downstairs and I Read my book upstairs, then we went to bed at 9:00 pm.   Today we walked in the morning with Jessi.     It was fun, and not too cold.     Then I finished my book, and Bill read.     We then had lunch, and I watched a movie, New In Town, with Rene Zellweger and Harry Connick Jr.     Then Bill and I played Scrabble, and he beat me badly.     I only got the ‘q’ but very late in the game.     We are going to eat dinner and watch a movie.

  Today we had the cleaners here, so Bill was in his study, and I was in my studio.     Then we called Jessi, and she came over and we went to Tutu’s for early lunch.     Then we drove back and dropped off Bill, and Jessi and I went to Bird and bean, a dress shop next door and to La Farine.     Then we returned home, and Jessi went to her house and Bill and I took a walk.     It was a warm, sunny day and we enjoyed it.     Then Bill read and I worked in my studio.     Now I’ve come in to do dinner and then we’ll watch a Jesse Stone mystery before we go over to Jessi and Scott’s at 8 to babysit while they go out for dinner.

  Today I walked with Marianne and that was great.     Also it was sunny, though cold.     Then Bill was upset because I didn’t walk with him, so I did walk with him after lunch, and then we got some groceries at Star after.     He had a bad night and just doesn’t feel well.     Tonight, my friend Barbara is calling at 6:30: I think it’s the only way to talk to her.     He has said we can see part of a Jesse Stone mystery before she calls and then watch the rest after.
